United People Global (UPG) Sustainability Leadership Program is a movement that brings people together to support positive citizen leadership in the area of sustainability. It is a movement that encourages and enables citizens at all levels to take positive action. The UPG’s pledge to do what we can with what we have, rather than waiting for someone else to act, inspired this movement. It’s a movement that promotes the idea that everyone can contribute to making the planet a more sustainable place.

UPG believes that sustainability encompasses both traditional “green” issues such as tree planting, waste recycling, energy management, and ocean protection, as well as issues that have long been central to our societies, such as education, health, jobs, gender equality, sustainable consumption, and sustainable production. For those unfamiliar, UPG follows the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Every year, the main activity is the #UPGSustainability Leadership training program, which attracts 500+ young adults from around the world. There are various activities available for schools, institutions, and businesses.
