This scholarship is intended to support talented international students from South East Asia who are enrolling for the first time in undergraduate or postgraduate courses at the University of Waikato. The scholarship is valued at up to $15,000 and will be awarded to successful applicants with outstanding academic achievement.

Eligibility Criteria
The scholarship supports one of the following countries: Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste or Vietnam.
If applicant is not a citizen of these countries, an application must be completed under the Vice Chancellor International Excellence Scholarship.
Applying for full-time admission to an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program as a new international student at the University of Waikato.
Receiving a conditional or unconditional offer of admission from the University of Waikato.
Having a minimum GPA of B+ in the grade used for entry to the University of Waikato
