The International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship 2025 at Zhejiang University of Technology (ZJUT) is now open for applications! As one of the host institutions, ZJUT warmly invites qualified applicants to join its Chinese language education programs under the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship. This initiative supports both degree-seeking students and short-term learners through comprehensive funding that covers tuition, accommodation, living expenses, and medical insurance.
- Duration: Up to 2 academic years

- Eligibility:
- Bachelor’s degree
- HSK Level 5 score ≥ 210
- HSKK Intermediate score ≥ 60
- Priority to those with an employment contract for future teaching roles
- Duration: 11 months
- Start Date: September 2025
- Eligibility (based on program):
- Chinese Language Education: HSK Level 3 score ≥ 270, HSKK required
- Chinese Language & Literature: HSK Level 4 score ≥ 180, HSKK Intermediate score ≥ 60
- Chinese Language Study: HSK Level 3 score ≥ 210, HSKK preferred
- Duration: 5 months (September 2025 intake)
- Eligibility:
- HSK Level 3 score ≥ 180, HSKK required
- Taiji Culture: HSK required, HSKK preferred
Note: Applicants who have received a similar scholarship within the last 3 years are not eligible for One-Semester or One-Year programs.

- Monthly Living Allowance:
RMB 3,000 for Master’s students
RMB 2,500 for One-Year and One-Semester students
- Comprehensive Medical Insurance:
RMB 800/year (Master’s)
RMB 400/semester (Short-term programs)
RMB 700/month stipend if living off-campus (with approval)
This scholarship is open to all nationalities except Chinese.
To apply, applicants must:
- Be non-Chinese citizens
- Be aged 16–35 (in-service teachers may be up to 45 years old)
- Be in good physical and mental health
- Have no criminal record
- Be committed to Chinese language education
- Adhere to the laws and regulations of China and ZJUT
- Passport photo page (scanned)
- Valid HSK/HSKK test reports (within 2 years)
- Highest degree certificate or proof of expected graduation
- Academic transcripts
- Two recommendation letters (for Master’s applicants)
- Proof of employment and employer recommendation (for in-service teachers)
- Guardian authorization (for applicants under 18)
- Physical examination form (within last 6 months)
- No criminal record certificate (within last 3 months)
- Academic records for past study in China (if applicable)
- ZJUT Internal System Opens: March 3, 2025
- ZJUT Internal Deadline: May 5, 2025
- Final Submission via CIS Website: By May 15, 2025
- Visit the ZJUT application portal
- Upload and submit all required documents.
- After ZJUT approval, download the recommendation letter.
- Submit final application through the CIS official portal
- Track your status via the CIS portal and await email notification for results.
- In-service teachers must provide employment proof and a recommendation letter.
- Scholarship winners from Chinese Bridge competitions must upload their certificate via the CIS platform.
- Students who fail to register, pass the physical, or withdraw early will lose the scholarship.
- All documents must be authentic and valid.
