Eligible Nationalities

These scholarships are open to international students of all nationalities.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Non-Chinese Citizenship: Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health, aged 18 or older (born before September 1, 2007), with a high school diploma and strong academic performance.
  • Chinese Language Proficiency: A minimum score of 180 on the HSK Level 4 test is required.
  • Compliance with MOE Regulations: Candidates must adhere to the Ministry of Education’s guidelines outlined in Document No. 12 (2020).
Application Procedure

Online Application:

  • Register at the Nankai International Students Application System.
  • Submit the application form and pay a non-refundable fee of 400 RMB.
  • Application window: November 15, 2024 – May 20, 2025.
  • Application Review: Applications undergo evaluation for completeness and accuracy.

Integrative Assessment:

  • Shortlisted candidates will participate in assessments scheduled for March, April, and May 2025. Top performers may qualify for scholarships, such as the Chinese Government Scholarship or “Study-at-NKU” President Scholarship.
  • Admission Results: Admission decisions will be announced starting June 2025 via the online application portal.

  • HSK Level 4 certificate.
  • Personal statement and recommendation letter.
