Kochi University of Technology Special Scholarships 2024 in Japan is available to undertake PhD level programs at Kochi University of Technology.
Following subject are available to study under this scholarship program.

- Examination Fee Waiver: You won\'t be charged the 30,000-yen entrance examination fee.
- No Enrollment Fee: The 300,000-yen enrollment fee is waived for you.
- Full Tuition Coverage: You won\'t have to pay the annual tuition fee of 535,800 yen.
- Living Stipend: To help with living expenses, you\'ll receive a monthly salary of 150,000 yen for participating in research projects. (Please note that taxes may apply to this income.)
- Travel and Initial Costs: International students residing outside of Japan who intend to obtain a student visa will receive a one-time grant of 150,000 yen to cover travel and initial living expenses upon arrival in Japan.
This scholarship is open to international students of all nationalities.
- Age Limit: In general, applicants should be 35 years old or younger at the time of enrollment.
- Academic Excellence: You should have a strong academic background with impressive bachelor\'s and master\'s degrees from well-respected universities.
- Research Suitability: You must demonstrate a clear interest, relevant knowledge, and the necessary research skills to contribute meaningfully to the chosen research project.
- English Language Proficiency: Strong English language skills are required. This can be demonstrated through a TOEFL iBT score of 72, IELTS score of 5.5, CEFR B2 level, or CET6 exam score .
Choose Your Research Project: Start by browsing the SSP Research Project List and select the project that most interests you.
- Pre-Application Request: Before submitting a formal application, reach out to the leader of your chosen project. Use the KUT Online Pre-Application Request Form to express your interest and inquire about their project. Important Note: You can only submit one pre-application request per application period. Project leaders may not contact you if they reject your request.
- Formal Application: If the project leader approves your pre-application, you can proceed with the formal application process. This will involve gathering all required documents and submitting them by mail to KUT. Be sure to meet the application deadline!
