The Trent University Scholarship is awarded to entering international students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, community service, leadership potential, and some financial need.
Trent University offers a wide range of scholarship opportunities for undergraduate students starting in January (Winter), May (Summer), or September (Fall) 2025.
These scholarships recognize academic excellence, leadership, community service, and financial need, ensuring that high-achieving students can thrive at Trent.
Founded in 1963, Trent University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large town of Peterborough (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Ontario. The admission rate range is 70-80% making this Canadian higher education organization a somewhat selective institution. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.
- You must be an international student paying international fees.
- You will be studying in Canada on a study permit.
- You must have applied to an undergraduate degree program at Trent University for the Winter 2025, Summer 2025 or Fall 2025 intake. Post graduate certificate and Master/PhD students are not eligible.
- You must meet Trent University’s Admission requirements, including general and degree-specific requirements and the English Language Proficiency Requirements. (Please note that students do not need an admission offer to apply for the scholarships and awards).
- You have a final high school average of 80% or more (Canadian Equivalent).
- You must submit a complete application through your myTrent portal before the “Apply Before Date” for each cohort.
- You will need to fulfill the conditions of your conditional offer letter and register for courses to receive the scholarship amount.
Trent University is offering multiple scholarships for undergraduate students. Detail of each scholarship is given below:
- Trent international Global Citizens Scholarships and Awards: Amounts between $2,000 – $25,000
- Trent International Tuition Levy Scholarship: Amount of $25,000
- United World Colleges (UWC) Scholarship: Amount of $25,000
- Justin Chiu International Scholarship: Amounts between $3,000 – $15,000
